Staff Calendar & Inservice Plans

- Times when we need mentors/BOBs present (principals have contacted those who are mentors) is on Wednesday, August 23 from 10:45 to 3:00 in the Karcher commons.

- Teri Little and Kate Dooley for assisting with Math Bridges training! Teri and Kate are not "train the trainers" for Bridges!!! We have been working on developing our own train the trainer situations and it is starting to play out!

- Monday, August 28
- 1:00-3:00 is an ALL district staff time frame starting in the Karcher gym!
- We will be ending our day at Low Daily (3:00-7:00) for an All District Staff Social!!! There will be food trucks along with beverages.
- Those interested in playing a friendly game of trivia are encourage to sign up a team!!! Trivia will take place at Low Daily starting at 4:30-6:00!!! Those not wanting to participate are encouraged to stay and socialize!
- HERE is the Google Form to sign up your trivia teams! There are some already stating their team is going to win! Let the friendly competition begin!

- District Annual Board Meeting
- Will be Tuesday, August 29 starting at 6:30pm in the BHS Auditorium. All are welcome and encouraged to attend!
- District Wide Student/Parent Open House Night

- Elementary: 5:00-6:00
- Karcher: 5:30-6:30
- High School: 6:00-7:00
- Strategic Planning with Studer
- During inservice time one ask will be for all staff to participate in the Studer Focus Groups for our Strategic Plan. The purpose of the focus groups will be to gather feedback from staff around your beliefs on the system and what we should be focusing on, etc. Below is a screenshot of the groupings along with the time slots and location for the focus groups.
- If you are not able to attend the time slot your group is slotted for it is OK... we are simply trying to make smaller groups for Tim (Studer coach) to conduct the focus groups. Therefore, if you need to attend a different time than the one you are slotted to attend it is truly OK, just jump into another focus group! The preference is that all voices are able to give input as we work to gather information for our strategic plan.
Board of Education Information
- Start of the school year!!!
- September 5 will be the first day for students in grades 1-6 and grade 9.
- September 6 will be the first day for students in grades 7-8 and 10-12.
- 4K and 5K students will be engaging in a staggered start between September 5 and 8. Teachers/buildings will be communicating with families as to what day(s) to attend.
Board of Education Information
- Board Workshops:
- The most recent board workshop was on July 31.
- The board has been having conversations about what would be reduced within the district if the referendum were to not pass. We have been working behind the scenes on the narratives for the board to take a look at and finalize in relation to the "why" for the reductions that the board asked us to put in place if it were to not pass.
- September 13 board workshop
- The board will be transitioning into a conversation about what the referendum ask will be to the community and if we are going to be going with a recurring or non-recurring operational referendum.
- Once we have things ready (not pass / pass) I will schedule times with staff to discuss so everyone is in the know and is able to ask questions, etc.
